Hepatitis C - Tired all the time
« on: January 04, 2015, 09:47:29 am »
I usually need at least 9 hours of sleep, but I still feel tired most of the time. I have minor joint pain, and feel tired a lot. I do not have an active social life - which is OK due to my personality, but being tired limits how many hours I can work and any extra voluntary/church work I can do.

I have been on two separate treatments for hep c without success, will go on a new one soon. I wanted to hear what is your experience with hep c and your energy level.

Hi there MyPlanet,

I was super tired before I started treatment but as treatment is progressing it's slowly getting better. Some days more than others. I try and just follow what my body needs and rest when I need to (when I am not working).

I've been dealing with insomnia since May when I first started getting really sick. It seems to be letting up some but I would be up for 3 days straight and crazed then I would sleep for almost 36 hours. Then cycle again, it was a bit insane for a few months!

Just follow the clues your body is giving you and if you need rest, then do it. The volunteering and other things you enjoy will wait until after you feel better on your new treatment! It could be a few months and that's ok!
