Sovaldi Olysio journey
« on: February 16, 2015, 10:49:36 am »
I am 17 days in treatment with no side effects that can't be attributed to something else (upset stomach = chili for dinner). So first test results came back- viral load is 29, down from 3.7 million. OMG. I made her repeat it half a dozen times.

I was so nervous starting, what with side effects, and cost, and general anxiety about medications. Anyway, folks just starting out, be strong. Sometimes it really does work out. My hope for you all is a smooth transition back to health...

I just finished week 3. Viral load at 29 from 3 million-ish. Still no perceptible side effects and feeling better physically and mentally than I can remember feeling EVER. I know I am one of the "lucky" ones. The disease didn't progress over the 25+ years I have probably had it. But it was always there, like the sleazy uncle you can't stand, but can't get rid of...

My journey looks to be boring compared to many of you, but I am going to continue to share it to remind folks that it isn't always as hard as you think. For some, the new med protocols are like getting a get-out-of-jail-free card. You could be one of the lucky ones, too.
