I finish my treatment 16 weeks ago, after treatment I was overloaded with water and gained 15 #. I have heart problems and it was leading to heart failer. My cardiologist gave me 80 mg of lasix per day and it subsides.
Be very careful with amount of water and check yout weight daily. Good luck!

My BP went from 117/74 to 154/85 and my resting HR from 65 to 90 when I started Harvoni/Ribavirin combo. I also had multiple daily tachycardia and arrhythmia incidents. At week 5 my BP and HR went down nearer normal and the tachycardia  and arrhythmia resolved itself but still higher pulse.

I have also started retaining water.

I personally think there are more side effects related to heart issues than they previously thought. They do have a black box now related to a BP medication, but it is one that is not used much in the US.

You may want to have your doctor order some kidney function tests as well. I've got kidney disease related to longstanding HCV and was diagnosed after I began retaining fluid in my feet and ankles. I can't take diuretics because I've got severe gout issues. But, the swelling has since gone down a little since I'm on a strict diet of low sodium and low potassium.  You should be watching your sodium as well since your BP is currently high.

I searched the forum a while back for other who've had high BP issues while on Harvoni, and there have been a lot of people with that side effect. My BP was high before beginning treatment (154/90) and has spiked up to 170/97 while on treatment. I'm on 160 mg of Diovan and it's still in the 154/87 range. Hoping it goes down after treatment ends.

Good luck.
