Meds are Working! :)
« on: March 09, 2015, 12:08:35 am »
Very exciting to see Meds: Solvadi & Olysio are working! :) I started them on 1/27.
In October, my viral load was 4.3 million, enzymes were 62 & 76.
After only TWO weeks: viral load is 18, enzymes are 20 & 36! :) This is the first time my enzymes have been in the normal range since 2002 when chemo treatments ended for breast cancer and I found out I had Hep C.  (Blood transfusion 1972).

I saw my doctor around week 4 of treatment before next blood work. He said viral load was more than likely 0. Can't wait to see those results!

Writing to encourage new people starting medication, like I was encouraged reading many success stories on this forum before starting meds.  It's amazing and I have no side effects! It's important with these two medications to drink a lot of water and either wear lots of sunscreen or avoid sun.  Some people said it could make you tired, so I take my meds at night after dinner.  I'm sleeping better than I did before being on meds. :)

So grateful!!
