Anyone have high Potassium on Harvoni?
« on: March 17, 2015, 08:53:47 pm »
I was recently admitted for VERY HIGH level of potassium (7.6). I have heart issues and I have always taken potassium supplements since I take diaretics. Well now since on Harvoni my potassium level is normal and I'm not taking any supplements! Anyone else experienced anything of the sort?

Hmmm, someone else brought this up on this forum, I think. You might do a search. I don't know the answer to your question, but I have found references online that state that liver disease can deplete your  potassium, so possibly a sudden decease in virus brought on by Harvoni use could cause potassium to spike. Check with your doctor., since prolonged high potassium can cause kidney problems. There's always the possibility that what you are experiencing is unrelated to Harvoni, merely coincidental.

There's a search field at the upper left-hand side of this page. You need to uncheck most of the websites listed with the exception of this one though, g
