Started Harvoni March 17
« on: March 20, 2015, 11:02:44 pm »
I started Harvoni March 17, St. Patrick drove out the snakes, good scenario! Stuck at work 1987, tried interferon, almost killed me, quit. This really is great. Slight headache, chills, no fatigue so far. Watched my brother die of liver cancer, was horrible. So thankful for this 2nd chance to be free of this. 3 million virus count, no fibrosis. We'll see in a few weeks 1st lab

I had chills initially too, and still do at times.  Small price to pay for a cure!

Hello All,
I started March 17th as well and am doing 12 weeks.

So far I have had some nausea and general upset stomach, insomnia, tiredness and some pain in left hip/groin - but not headaches. Oh, I do occasionally get the chills but all of the above is totally manageable and worth it. Working full time has not been difficult.

Some of the recent posts I've seen of people relapsing after Harvoni are concerning so I'm trying to stay focused on 94% success!

Has anyone reported your side effects to Gillead or to the FDA? I would love to see a single page listing of all reported side effects since FDA approval.

Love this forum, have been reading it for over a month and it has been so helpful.

Yes Paul was very slightly detected but still not being counted out there has been a lot of technical discussion about the significance of being low level detected at EOT he still maybe able to be considered SVR if when tested at 12 weeks post if his viral load has not rebounded to pre treatment levels.

Hi and good luck to you.  I started the day after you, 3/18.  Hang in there, Harvoni, at least for me so far, is much easier to deal with than the interferon.  Lots of good info on this board regarding diet, and so on, check it out when you can.

Espo2. So sorry to hear about your brother. I wish you all the best with this treatment and loved your analogy: "I started Harvoni March 17, St. Patrick drove out the snakes, good scenario! " Harvoni already is working its magic.
