Wake up with the shakes?
« on: May 29, 2015, 10:03:57 am »
I have had a couple of morning where I wake up with the shakes, and the days this happens I get really nervous over little things like taking the cat to the vet. Has anyone experience this while taking Harvoni. It's not often and I dismissed it the first time it happened. It has happened again today. It's so strange. I'm usually not high strung like this. Glad this is a every once and a while thing. I also hope it's the Harvoni. That means in 3 and a half weeks it won't happen. June 23 is my last day of this treatment. I'm praying it works. Deb

Hi Deb. I am into Week 4 of harvoni+ribavirin. Many mornings, when I first get out of bed, my legs are very weak and shaky - almost feels like they won't support me while I walk to the kitchen to make tea. That goes away within 30-60 minutes and my legs are normal after that. I have not experienced agitation or nervousness or being high-strung, but I have seen others here report that. I have had a general increase/improvement in energy, mood, attitude, mental clarity since about Day 5. At first I thought it was the drugs. But the nurse says it is me as a result of the virus getting knocked down. My viral load dropped to just 130 at end of Week 1. I don't know what it is now but will find out Tuesday.

I have not had any real problems with sides so far - nothing that has caused me discomfort or changed my normal daily life.

Good luck to you in your journey to being cured! Just 3 and a half weeks left for you - that's wonderful! :)

Mr Bob,
I've always had good blood sugar levels so I've never tested. It could be my blood sugar was low. It's happened only twice so perhaps it straightens itself out. 18 more days and I'm finished with my treatment. I sure hope this works.
