Hi all, I'm on Harvoni day 12. First the left side of my body was affected, Swollen foot(sore), couldn't bend left thumb, behind left knee very much pain. That lasted about two days. Now it's gone, or moved to my right side.  Right foot very tender, feels like it's very swollen but isn't. Entire right hand is so sore I keep it almost in a claw like position. My right knee looks twice the size of my left knee. Hurts like Hell. This morning when I got out of bed, I almost couldn't walk. My entire body was so stiff. I've had various types of these symptoms over the years, but never this bad, and never all at once. I was diagnosed with RA and Lupus, both of which were the HCV manifestation. I DO NOT have either of those diseases. I read somewhere else on this site that they would set the alarm 30 mins. before, take Tylenol, then wait thirty mins. to get out of bed. I'm gonna do that tomorrow. I'm drinking 8 oz. of water every hour, my diet is VERY liver friendly, no alcohol. I take 50mg. Losartan for Hypertension and 20 mg. Simvastatin for high cholesterol. I take my Harvoni at 10:00pm every night. Does anybody, ANYBODY, have suggestions on how they dealt satisfactorily with these types of symptoms ??? I would really appreciate hearing them. Thank You

I have the exact same symptoms. Swollen knees and swollen feet to the point of debilitation. I do take 2 advil and 1/2 a vicodin in the morning just so I can walk downstairs to make coffee. I am in so much pain and feel like an old cripple. I want this to be over. July 15th is 24 weeks. I'll be done. I hope the sfx abate. I hope I feel better. Seems like Ive also gained weight! Metabolism 0. No energy, living with daily, all day headaches. Distended belly. Never had before Harvoni.
Hey, I deal. I'm beautiful and smart and hopeful. So July 15th I'm going to hit the PT and the pool. And try and get my ass out of this lack of energy mode. But in the meantime I'm cutting my self some slack.
Also my freaking teeth are falling out! I had $25,000 worth of dental work done. Either he was a scheister or harvoni affects your teeth. Lost two and need two implants. The toothless hag. Bring it! What ever. I just want to slay the dragon and move the F ON!!!!

WOW!!!  I Thank God for you that you only have another month... Tonite I took a Tramadol AND a Vicodin. I couldn't help myself. Neither of them interact with Harvoni. NOW, besides the above mentioned, I can only turn my head about 1/4 of the way left or right. I hear ya. THIS SUCKS !!!! I do find that once I get my day started, I can slog through. Oh yeah, I also am (started today) taking an over the counter diuretic. I don't really know if that's helping or not. It's too soon. According to all I've read, these ailments will go away as treatment comes to an end. I don't know if I have edema or what, But I've got something !!! I'm only good for 8 weeks, more depending on testing. I really look forward to living a life w/o HCV killing my liver... I'm 55, and other than the Hep, and maybe 10-15 lbs. overweight, I'm in perfect health. I'm also hoping this crap goes away quickly. Like tomorrow when I wake up isn't quick enough !! Is there anything that seems to bring you relief, if only temporary? ( besides the vikes?? ) That's something I haven't thought up yet. Couple tylenol, a Tramadol & a vike 30 mins. before I get out of bed. Now all I need is a pint of Vodka and I can be a full fledged alkie / drug addict !!! Only kidding. Thanks for your reply. I really do wonder how everyone deals with this type of side effect. Remember, in the grand scheme, another month is nothing !! Before you know it, blah blah blah. Take care and keep the faith. Chris
