viekira pak and ribavirin : eating, drinking, smoking
« on: June 15, 2015, 09:38:38 am »
OK, here's a question. We all know no drinking alcohol and I have seen posts on harvoni and not eating certain foods. I don't drink and I don't smoke, but I do eat! Probably others out there curious about any food interactions and probably smokers out there wondering about that too. Any info???

There are a number of food/dietary posts going. Vikiera does not come with any food precautions except to be sure and have some food prior to taking the meds. Even a few crackers to get the digestion going because the pills start absorption in the stomach. This also decreases the chance of nausea. That being said, I do recommend going as healthy as you can tolerate LOL.

Cut out refined sugar - some would say as bad for your liver as alcohol. It would also be a good idea to start reading labels on your food containers. Much hidden sugars and other badness. The best foods have the least ingredients.
Increase fiber fruits vegetables and water. Keep exercising or at least walking daily to keep your metabolism calories burning. You probably know all this!
