Testing window question, please help
« on: September 03, 2015, 12:08:40 pm »
Hello everyone,

I may have had an exposure to hep c.(woman had her tongue on my anus for several minutes)ever since then I've been pretty worried. I had a ten week test competed (which came back negative ) and plan to take a 12 week hep c antibody completed.

How accurate is a 10 week antibody test ?

It is not 100% reliable, but from what you described, I don't see that you have a hep C risk factor.

Thank you for the response . My 12 week test came back negative .

You don't believe I was at risk? What if she had possible traces of blood in her mouth from prior brushing or flossing? I'm just worried . I am considering taking a 14 week test .

Thank you

Even if so, incredibly unlikely that that you would absorb it into your bloodstream.
