I'm back, and so grateful to get another chance at beating this Dragon.

Around 2002, much to my better sense that was screaming no no, don't do it, I attempted the peg + riba combo.  After 10 months, and many side effects, my doctor convinced me to stop the twelve-month regime.  At that time I was here- but I'll be darned if I can remember my login information.

So today I have a couple more days and I will have completed my fourth week of 12 weeks on Harvoni.  The week before I started I broke my arm. I was devastated. Now I consider the breaking of my arm to be a blessing. That is because I have this time off work to contend with the extreme exhaustion from the drug.

ALT and AST – elevated, per usual
1 month into TX blood work ~ everything in the normal range  for the first time in years and years(except I don't know the viral load as doctor is out of town on vacation this week)

Hey Nature,  Welcome!

I did the peg/riba deal in 2002-2003 too.  I completed it, hell all the way.  I just finished by my last pill of a 12 week regimen of Harvoni.  The ride has been mostly smooth for me... first weeks are a bit of a blur.  Been undetected since 4 weeks.  This is a very different treatment...  I wish you all the best and we have every reason to be optimistic.  The odds are stacked highly in our favor this time.

It's also helpful if you put your genotype, viral load, past and present treatment details in your signature line so it's easier for folks to respond.  Welcome and good luck.  Your arm and your body can heal at the same time;)

Welcome back to the forums, Nature1st. :) Congratulations on being 1/3 of the way into your Harvoni treatment journey! I finished 12 weeks of Harvoni (with ribavirin) in July and seem to be cured. Won't know for sure 'til next month.

Congratulations on your start!  This is a treatment that's completely completeable. (okay, so I'm making up words.  Completeable should be a word!)  :)
