Question about side effects of Harvoni
« on: December 17, 2015, 11:35:55 am »
I started taking Harvoni yesterday and so far the side effects have not been too bad.  I had a slight headache yesterday and feel another one coming on, but as stated, I can live with this.  I was just curious if the side effects get worse or better as the treatment progresses.  One of the side effects was insomnia and last night I was in bed by 9:30 and slept until 6:45 this morning, so that doesn't seem to be a problem.  I also dreamt, but they were not vivid as some have experienced.  Will this change?

Hi Sinkers. Welcome to the forums and to the treatment journey! Everyone's side effects do seem to differ. Sometimes different people even have opposite side effects on the same drug. Some people lose weight on Harvoni while others gain weight. Some people get a "Harvoni high" of energy and while others are fatigued by it. So it's hard to predict how it may affect you. But it will, in all likelihood, get the job done for you!

cheers,
kim

I'm so excited!  Couldn't wait to start the journey and glad I waited until this miracle (I hope) drug was introduced.

I feel the same way - was thrilled to get Harvoni, and was glad I waited for it... I really never thought I would see a simple safe cure for Hep C developed in my lifetime.
