I am always very careful with nsaids, as some of them are pretty bad for your liver. Voltaren for example comes with a warning re liver damage.

I'm not sure about ibuprofen, but I'd check it for liver danger as well as drug clashes. I use this website to see if meds are going to not play well together.

I should think the condition of one's liver might play a part in that decision. I take an occasional pain reliever, although at a lower dosage than I used to-but my liver is in pretty decent shape considering. I also take Tylenol 1 for headaches, pretty much every day. However, I am on Harvoni, for which there seems to be very few contra-indicated drugs-not sure about the other tx's. So I would check up on those factors perhaps. I'm sure someone more informed than I about your meds could be much more helpful.

The problem with NSAIDS for some of us here is if you have advanced liver disease.

For me with cirrhosis I have an increased risk of bleeding so I am only to take Tylenol and no more than 2000 mg a day. NSAIDS increase the risk of bleeding in patients with bleeding concerns.
