Hep C, Geno 2. Have meds and plan start date 05/28/16. Sovaldi plus Ribavirin. 12 week regimen. Any happy stories out there? I am 63. Had myself tested 12 years ago, but most likely infected 30 to 40 years ago. 3 million count whatever that means. No particular symptoms that couldn't be explained away by age. Taking advantage of my health insurance to get rid of this bug inside me. I still pay the Out of Pocket Max at 6200 ( I hope) Kaiser. My Dad died from liver problems (booze). I stopped drinking 16 years ago and was tested when my liver enzymes stayed elevated and my past life was risky.
Happy stories first, please. If I struggle with the treatment, I will come back for that sort of help. A sponsor or newbie pal okay.
Thanks,
Marc

Hi Skunk,

The 12 weeks go by pretty fast and my treatment seems to have worked. I think you have a very good chance of getting rid of it. What country are you in, if you don't mind me asking? Why the co-payment?

Cheers

Hi skunk

Lots of happy cured people here!

As far as your copay at least in the US there may be help for you from the manufacturer of Sovaldi

Check out this link:

https://www.sovaldi.com/coupons

Eligible patients may pay no more than $5 per co-pay for SOVALDI

We believe that cost should not be a barrier to receiving treatment. That’s why the makers of SOVALDI offer a co-pay coupon. If you are eligible, you may pay no more than $5 per co-pay.

Good luck
