Determined and Done
« on: August 14, 2016, 02:29:27 am »
Well, it's official. I have arrived at SVR12!!!!!!  I'm so buzzed right now I can't say much but will report more when I get back from vacation in a week.

As a GT2a, I slogged through 12 weeks of Sovaldi and Ribavirin.  It was tough but I feel great!  I'm back to living a healthy and happy life.  I'm lucky to be one of those who feels better than before.

Thank you all for the support and input. I was really without personal information and will always be grateful.

Determined

That's it for now.  DONE DEAL

Thank you, AussieRosa -- my fingers and toes are crossed!! I've been able to "keep it together" re: this milestone until this week, feeling anxious and hopeful and scared all at the same time.  We'll see soon, FT

Hi Determined,

I hope to be doing that same happy dance any time now.  Enjoy the moment and the rest of your life without hcv hanging around!!  Waiting for the same test results, and yes just a little anxious too.  FT, I wish you all the best and there is no way to avoid feeling a bit stressed over this one.  When I was trying to get the nerve up to look at my 4 week eot, I had to call a friend and she yelled at me, told me to get a grip and just look at it.  I really can be such a wimp, so glad to have friends to help me through.  Just like all of you here, made a big difference in getting me to this point for sure!!  Brie

Brie41, I'm sorry to hear your friend yelled at you re: looking at labs ---- this is life-changing stuff here!!! So I completely understand your hesitation and fear. Just know that many are here cheering you on in your victory over HCV! Looks like you and I are very close in SVR12 dates, and we just have to keep the faith while we (patiently) wait for the results.

As you probably saw on another thread, Gilead's next drug in the pipeline, if approved, looks to be good for relapsers, so that is good to know while we are sitting here wondering if we are cured or not. We are so very, very blessed to be getting treatment in this era of HCV research!! I'll be watching for your post ---- FT

Hi FT,

Actually I called my friend as I knew she would not let me chicken out and just face the reality. Now I would have gotten around to looking at them but it would have taken me a lot longer, lol!  I love her no nonsense approach and she only meant well by it!  She actually has gone through treatment herself and is so matter of fact about it.  We need people so different from ourselves to help balance us out!!  So still checking and waiting for the results to post!  I know there are other treatments available but lets just hope we got through this the first time around!!  Brie
