30 Day Blood Test Early Results on Harvoni Treatment
« on: November 08, 2016, 08:11:38 pm »
Hello all,

I am now on day 40 of my Harvoni "high" and just got some early data on my 30 day blood test. I will meet with my specialist in a week but so far it is looking so good. I finally find out my Fibrosis number "F4" and my viral load "1.78 mil" taken before treatment began. Hopefully I will get a VL number in a week. My pre treatment values on ALT 130 and my AST 146 are now 20 and 24, NORMAL range for the first time in a very long time. My AFP Tumor Marker was 6.9 and has been as high as 7.1 and now it is 5.1, NORMAL range also. Thank God for Harvoni, I'll  take any minor sides for a future of being cured. Does anyone else hear the "buzzing"?

Good luck with every ones personal journey
Rick

Rick, sorry I didn't see your message before now. There was an early Harvoni side effects thread on which quite a few people mentioned tinnitus, which the dictionary defines as "ringing or buzzing in the ears." I didn't hear a buzzing but did feel jazzed.

Your numbers are looking very good. Chances are excellent your VL will be very low or undetected, but no worries if it isn't -- what's important is that it's undetected 12 weeks after the end of treatment -- SVR12.

All good wishes,

Gnatty
9/29/71 transfusions
HCV genotype 1a
7/09/15-9/30/15 Harvoni

Before treatment:
Viral Load 9,490,582
FibroScan 19.5 kPa [F4]
ALT 262
AST 217
ALP 183

Most recent:
VL still UNDETECTED (SVR 102)
FibroScan 7.6 kPa [F1-2]
ALT 15
AST 20
ALP 85

Hi Rick. I heard the buzzing (tinnitus) while on Harvoni. it persisted for a while after I finished but eventually went away. I also enjoyed the daily "Harvoni High". :)
