Thank you. I guess I should be the poster child for DAAs. 60 weeks all told combining 3 different treatments, not counting the  36 weeks of placebos. Hey but who's counting? Just happy!

Replying to my own post: my hat is off to the folks on this forum who endured many courses of interferon/ribavarin only to suffer relapse. That is hard time, and I can't complain about having to swallow a bunch of pills with little or no side effects. Just want to make that clear. :)

Congratulations, Norhfork

And thank you for participating in that trial which will no doubt help many others in the future.

I'm curious if at some point in your long ordeal with DAA's they did resistance testing? Or come up with some hypothesis as to why you had those failures?

Did not have resistance testing. My first clinical trial was in 2013. I think that was early in DAA therapy. I was prescribed 24 weeks of Harvoni due to my previous failure. They figured I was NS5A resistant, but thought the combo would work. It did not. Looks like this one did. In my opinion the book about HCV is far from being complete and we can expect many edits in the coming years. I plan to stay tuned.
