I'm Going To Forget About Vosevi
« on: June 28, 2018, 06:52:01 pm »
I called Support Path today after the lady supervising my Tx failed to reply to a PM I sent yesterday. She said "you're scheduled to get the meds shipped from Theracom Pharmacy" but I was already told that about a week ago but they didn't do a thing yet. Then she transferred me to the pharmacy and some woman was rude and kept saying "OK? OK? OK?" so I hung up on her. I think she was expecting me to kiss up to her to get action on this but it's not going to happen in my lifetime and I don't even care if I live or if I die any more!!! I don't need anyone's handouts.

I haven't got it in me to play up to a billionaire corporation. I don't think they intend to give me anything at all. So I'm going to try to forget I ever heard the word Vosevi.
So many people I've already dealt with have been liars. So I guess I'll continue to hate Big Pharma as I've done for decades.  Some people would like to see me suffer and die, but I know how to prevent that from happening.

So sorry to read this I can hear your understandable frustration. I also had a hard time with my insurance even though I have liver cirrhosis I ended up being on the phone with my insurance on the verge of angry tears asking if they want me to die or just pay for a liver transplant and anti-rejection drugs for the test of my life.

All I can say is I hope you can find the strength to take up the battle again with your insurance to make them do what they are paid to do and provide you with your needed treatment. If you don’t you are just letting them win. I know it is likely very hard to do after this last experience. Maybe your doctor’s office is willing to intercede on your behalf and push your insurance to cooperate.

My hold up was my prescription drug provider. They are a PBM a pharmacy benefits manager their purpose is to keep prescription drug costs low for the insurance companies they support. Well too bad for them!

If you can find the strength fight back! Make them do their job!

Sending you my best and my moral support

Thank you Lynn.

My gastro office called today and she said my Vosevi will be delivered to their office on Tuesday 7/3, but their office is closed 7/4, so I'll drive up there (25 miles away) to be there on 7/5 by 2 PM to pick up my 1st month's worth of Vosevi. The the next 2 months' of Vosevi will be shipped to me.

I'm looking forward to my Tx. It will be a nice break for my liver with a very good chance of it being a permanent break from HCV.  :)

If I take my first tablet about 3 PM on 7/5, can I take it about 1 PM the next day and then from noon to 1 PM there after?

Sure you can move your dose several hours a day to the time of day you would prefer to take it.

So glad to hear you are finally getting your meds! Best of luck with treatment

Thanks again.

It seems doubtful that my HCV will survive me on Vosevi for 12 weeks.

I have no cirrhosis.

I'll keep you informed on my progress.
Thank you for your devotion to this forum and all of us.

OK, in about 38 hours I should be taking my first dose of Vosevi.
If I begin on Thursday 7/5 as planned, I will be taking my last dose on Sept 26 or 27.

It's at my gastro office right now but they're closed July 4th so I go there July 5th about 2 PM. I'll be on Tx for most of July, August, and Sept.

Thanks again Lynn. I took my 1st pill with lunch today.

I'll post on the "On Tx" forum from now on.
See you there, I hope.
