Vosevi 12 week treatment
« on: August 14, 2018, 06:07:56 am »
Hi everyone, hope your treatment is going well.

I am 39 years old and I have genotype 1b, I have been treated with Zepatier (12 weeks) and the virus was undetected after 2 weeks of treatment but it relapsed 12 weeks post end of treatment. When the virus relapsed I felt very ill and tired.  I am currently on 12 weeks of Vosevi and the virus has decreased significantly. My liver is in very good shape and I have a strict diet.

Current side effects of Vosevi: fatigue, brain fogginess, lightheaded, joint pain

I am concerned about sun exposure and long working hours (manual work) and whether that would have an impact on the treatment and potentially prevent me from being successfully treated with Vosevi. I have read on various forums that having a manual job could potentially cause the virus to return. I am scared that working was the reason Zepatier was unsuccessful.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and would put my mind at ease.

Thank you x

Manual work has no influence on your treatment. In fact having a physical job tends to make you more physically healthy as you are getting more exercise. The only thing that can cause the virus to return if you are successfully treated is getting a new infection.

Sunsensitivity is not a side effect of Vosevi
