Baby Boomers need to get tested
« on: November 29, 2012, 05:58:05 pm »
I know everyone here already knows it but it's nice to see the drum get louder and louder in mainstream press. Hep covered this story about another study (this one called large) that shows that the hepatitis B and C viruses disproportionately affect baby boomers.

I hope it gets into all the national press!

And the drum went silent.

U.S. Task Force Declines to Press for Widespread Baby Boomer Hep C Screens

Whatever U.S. Preventive Services Task Force is has decided baby boomers don't need universal testing.

What a step back for hep testing. Just when we seemed to be getting some momentum around finding everyone with hep this happens. So sad.
