What's going on with Hep A and restaurants?

Fresh off the "Olive Garden Hep A Scare Leads to Mass Immunizations"
http://www.hepmag.com/articles/Olive_Garden_Hep_2501_21004.shtml

I now read "Up to 7,700 possibly exposed to hepatitis A at Cheddar's"
http://www.dailytoreador.com/news/article_fa896a10-e011-11e0-952f-0019bb30f31a.html

Maybe I just wasn't looking in the right place but this 'trend' is kinda scary. I really don't want to get Hep A from eating at my favorite restaurant. Or maybe this is a drug company PR ploy to get everyone to get the Hep A vaccine?

What the real odds of getting Hep A in these cases? It seems like some media drama to try and sell some newspapers.

Ok, I know I'm pushing it with this one...

Daniel Day-Lewis and wife escape dining disaster

Oscar-winner Daniel Day-Lewis and wife Rebecca Miller escaped a dining disaster in their West Village ’hood recently. The power couple was spotted at Alta a day before a staffer infected with Hepatitis A returned from vacation to the kitchen. Health department officials urged patrons who ate dessert at Alta between March 23 and April 2 to get vaccinated. But the “Lincoln” star and daughter of Arthur Miller dined at the restaurant March 22, making vaccinations unnecessary.

SE Idaho pizzeria employee had Hepatitis A http://www.kivitv.com/news/local/206115071.html

Quote
Idaho public health officials are alerting recent customers of a Chubbuck pizzeria that one of its employees tested positive for Hepatitis A, a liver disease that can be transmitted through contaminated food.

The Idaho State-Journal reported Saturday that a Papa Murphy's employee tested positive, prompting temporary closure of the business.

The Southeastern Idaho Public Health District says customers who patronized the facility may have been exposed to the infection between April 19-21.
