New Here and on conmbo treatment.
« on: August 10, 2014, 05:34:20 am »
Howdy everyone, I'm a 57 year old male and I contracted HepC in May of 79 after losing 1 kidney and my spleen in a motorcycle accident. I was diagnosed in 1990 and did the interferon/Rib treatment for 11 months but never quite got to the non detectable stage.
I am currently in end stage liver failure and on my 4th day of a combo treatment consisting of
400 mil of Sovaldi
150 mil of Galexos
1200 mil of Rib
oh and I'm also the carrier of the Q80 gene and my genotype is 1A or B

other meds that I am taking because of the liver failure are
400 mil of Norfloxacin ( daily antibiotic to help my non existent immune system )
50 mil of Spironolactone and 40 mil of Furosemide ( dialectics that help with not retaining water ) I'm only allowed 1 liter of fluid daily.

I am currently on a waiting list for a liver transplant and trying to clear the virus prior to the transplant. My viral load was at 1.6 million before the start of this program.

As for noticeable side affects so far : I get slight headaches, very itchy hands and sleeping has become a series of daily catnaps. I seem more sluggish than normal but over all this is a cake walk compared to the interferon/rib treatment.

I hope everyone of you fare well as you combat this virus and I'll seeya's around the forum.
