Celebrating 20 Years of Blood Safety
« on: October 03, 2014, 01:00:59 pm »
Many members of the hemophilia community continue to live with the after effects of a once-tainted blood supply, especially since many contracted HIV and hepatitis C back before it was screened for these diseases. The government currently compensates families of those who have bleeding disorders who contracted blood-borne diseases back in the day, but the losses, never the less, continue. Many people on social media refer to it as the “hemophilia holocaust.”
