Just started Harvoni
« on: February 08, 2015, 07:31:54 pm »
I've been reading your posts for a few weeks, and just got an account today.

I received my Harvoni on Wednesday and just took my first pill a few minutes ago.

My doctor has me on the 8 week course.  I got Hep C 1a 13 years ago. My viral count has been on the low end. A biopsy a few years ago showed stage 1 cirrhosis.

I'm a bit nervous about the treatment. I've been living with this for so long and waiting on a viable cute for so many years. It almost seems too good to be true.

Hi welcome to the forum

Do you have F1 fibrosis which is minimal fibrosis or F4 fibrosis which is cirrhosis?

http://www.hcvadvocate.org/hepatitis%5Cfactsheets_pdf/non-invasive_markers.pdf

The stage score represents the amount of fibrosis:
• Stage F0 = no fibrosis
• Stage F1 = mild fibrosis
• Stage F2 = moderate fibrosis • Stage F3 = bridging fibrosis • Stage F4 = cirrhosis
Genotype 1a

I'm sorry, F1 fibrosis. I realized my mistake and was going to fix it, but I started watching The Avengers and forgot  ;)
