Kidney Pain
« on: December 08, 2014, 03:00:59 pm »
What signaled the increase in my Hep C activity was leg edema, fatigue, joint and kidney pain. My macroglobulins are relativity high at 483mg/dL. My ACT grade was A0-A1 when I had my last blood work done, however I was pain free at the time. I am approved but still waiting for the Harvoni to ship. Today is a bad day for the kidney pain. I was wondering if anyone else had the kidney pain and did it clear up with Harvoni?

Hi Icantwait,

I was having some severe lower back pain a couple of weeks ago but it went away. The ID Doc and my regular MD didn't feel it was kidney. It's not impacting me now so I am totally grateful! I am sorry you are in pain and hope that the Harvoni brings you some relief as it slays the dragon.

Thanks for the input. After thinking about what may have different in my diet yesterday I realized that I had a friend over who drinks a lot of tea, both black and green. I had quite a bit of it myself. Now that I think of it, I have had more kidney pain when she is around. Not sure of the cause, but I think I will avoid the tea for now. I normally stick to water and will keep it that way.
