My Meds and Me
« on: January 07, 2015, 07:53:45 pm »
Taking Sovaldi and Ribovarin.  Started 12/9 at that time my Hep C was 2 million units per Mil ... After only 20 days I took my first blood test .. The Hep C virus was down to 90 units per ML .. WOW .. is that possible?  Compared to how I felt back then to how I feel today, I feel GREAT ..  My biggest complaints are dry, VERY VERY DRY mouth and insomnia.  I keep waiting to wake up bald or something ..

Hi shEEEsh, I took my first Harvoni pill today. I have seen a lot of people here that are on the same treatment you are. I am curious why you are on that versus the Harvoni?
I hope you are completely clear on your next test!

An old friend of mine (we're both old AND I've known him for a long time) recently completed treatment with that and is SVR after 12 weeks. He had test results similar to yours. Good luck.

Hi shEEEsh,

I am also type 2. I just finished 12 wks of sovaldi and ribavirin. Early on in treatment I actually felt better. I had fewer aches and pains. There are some other symptoms connected with the treatment that over shadowed these improvements, but they were by no means unbearable.

12 weeks goes quickly,
good luck,
Petra
