my turn--SVR4--UNDETECTABLE !!!!
« on: January 23, 2015, 06:57:38 pm »
I made it--I have been so nervous this past week. I didn't really realize the importance of my last  blood draw until the needle  was in my arm. And for the past week have been climbing the walls. I've been so pissed off and screwed up for the past few  months that I was not really functioning very well. But about 3 weeks ago I sure started feeling better. The Riba was getting of of my system. Got up one day and went and bought another motorcycle. Then a week later decided to go get a job. And today I got the job, and 20 minutes ago my Doc called with the results. So today has been a good day for me!!!  I know I'm not done, the viral load in two months is a big deal too.   So here I am. A 60 year old guy, no longer being driven crazy by Hep C. I'm still sick, I have cirrhosis, but I think I can deal with that with the lifestyle I lead. But I have this clear-headedness that I have not seen in a while, even before treatment.    Hey, for me the treatment was Horrible, glad I had this forum to do it with--Thanks!!!

Congrats!

So, what made you undetectable? Was it Harvoni?
Are you all done with Tx? How long was your Tx?

Oh yeah---I did 24 weeks of Solvadi and 1200 Milligrams of Riba daily
I'm genotype 3 with cirrhosis as of 2005 and as I have realized, one of the hard ones to treat. I really do feel that my success so far is because before I turned down treatment with interferon, and just started trying to be gentle on my liver by giving up alcohol and pills of any kind.
