Do DAA's offer any help against the flu?
« on: January 26, 2015, 04:47:36 pm »
I was just wondering if any of us on here have come down with the flu while on any of the hep C treatments?  I am taking harvoni. Just curious.
Also, post treatment do we have any immunity to the hep C virus?

The flu shot helps with the flu DAA's I the case of Harvoni are designed to work agains a specific virus hepatitis c.

I get my flu shot every year never have the flu. I have heard this years is not as effective.

And nope no immunity from hep c once you clear you can still become infected again. They are working on a vaccine

GSE (grapefruit seed extract), oil of oregano, raw garlic, are all good to prevent or treat the flu.
Wash your hands often and don't put your hands near face in public, it may spread the flu if it's on your hands. I am not a fan of anti bacterial soaps, I just use natural soaps.

Vitamin C helps prevent the flu. Also Zinc Balance.
