HARVONI AND VITAMINS
« on: March 04, 2015, 08:48:00 pm »
I stopped taking my daily vitamins when I started treatment 13 days ago since I only wanted to take Harvoni. I have read that taking a daily vitamin with b-12 is actually good to take when on treatment. Anyone read this or taking daily multivitamins?

Yep, I take a multivitamin, 4000 units of D3, and 7 or 8 of those fiber well gummies every day.  My doctor as well as the Gilead nurse said no worries with this.  Actually the D3 was prescribed by my IM doctor.  By happenstance I take these about 8 hours after Harvoni.

Bob, I called Gilead and they referred me to my doc. I wanted to continue to take my vitamins since I think its great idea to combat fatigue and stress. What meds are you on?

Harvoni is the only prescription med I'm on.  Finished first bottle last night, starting second bottle tonight.  Love that orange pill!  Interesting that we got different answer out of Gilead.  Oh yeah, I messed up the D3 dose above, it's 2000 IU.  I've got an arthritic knee so every once in a while I take a couple aspirin, but that's pretty rare.  I can usually keep the knee pain free by stretching.  Thus far, the Harvoni has about the same side effects as my multivitamin, D3, and gummies, nada.
