Start Harvoni Tomorrow
« on: March 05, 2015, 07:22:15 pm »
After 2 denials by my insurance company, Gilead Support Path accepted me and I received my first shipment of Harvoni today.  I start tomorrow...I'm so thankful and excited, after reading how everyone is doing well on this.  I'm happy to be a part of this group!

Hi pl1952, Congratulations on getting through the insurance nightmare and finally getting Harvoni.  Make sure you drink a lot of water, about 64 ounces daily and you should be able to avoid most of the side effects. I am starting week 10 of Harvoni/Ribavirin tomorrow, so my suggestion is to establish and stay with a routine and treatment will go by very quickly.

Best wishes battling the Dragon, you are now getting the best opportunity to be cured!

Same here,  pl1952,

I started this week also, I'm feeling better already, my energy is increasing and I can feel a better mental/function, my insurance paid because I'm an f4, according to the
Insurance people you have to be really Sick or they think you can waste your Liver waiting, while they try to SAVE Money, which is a bunch of Crap!

They should Treat before you are  Too Sick, it makes me angry that Billion Dollar companies can discount your Life

Congrats. This is the first day of the rest of your life, as they say. I'm in Week 4 and after a few rough days, for the most part, I have zero side effects.
