Slay the Dragon
« on: April 27, 2015, 11:42:37 pm »
My name is Mickey I was diagnosed in 2000. I don't know how I contracted the virus. I was never an intravenous drug user but I grew up in the seventies go figure? I have recently started treatment with Harvoni on 4/11/2015  today was my first blood test hopefully I will receive some good news, my genotype is 1b viral load 5 million .  I have had two liver biopsies which showed 0 to 1 . I have followed this forum for quite some time. I want to acknowledge that I gained a lot of courage to treat after reading some of the posts here!  . I too hope that I can say I have reached SVR . I have only had mimminal side effects I seem a little more tired and have had some dirriera. I consume lots of water and still work out. I was told I will test again at the end of four weeks . In the event my viral load has not dropped they will consider an additional four weeks . I'm confused initially they said it would be an twelve week treatment plan now they are saying eight weeks.
