Hi Bob,
I am completing week 12 of Viekira/Ribavarin. I experienced good energy levels the first month, but it has diminished over time . It may have to do with the cumulative effects of these very powerful drugs  or the psychological and emotional challenges of the regimine, or both I imagine. I try not to fixate  and go for it when I do have good energy. Our bodies are attempting to heal and it is very challenging . Thinking positive, expressing gratitude, meditating , and just plain old soldiering on the best I can is my script. Hang in there and hold hope near to you.

Hi guys!

Energy levels have been an issue for me since slightly before I found out I had the infection.  A B-Complex vitamin can help with energy levels.  Ive read that its important to take a B-Complex instead of just 1 B vitamin or another, because when you raise the level of just one of the B's, your body reacts as if you are deficient in all the others.  The B vitamins happen to be amongst the hardest to supplement efficently with food alone, and are pretty rare overall in the vegetable kingdom.

Bob, caffeine certainly wakes you up, but it kinda provides the same 'crash' effect later on as a sugar rush does.

Please dont take my word for what I just said - speak with a nutritionist.  I'm not a learned professional or anything, Im just someone who sought a holistic approach to treating the symptoms I was experiencing while waiting for a cure.

I was fatigued all the time, and had developed what I would call small cuts in the corners of my mouth that simply would not go away.  Someone studying to be a dentist called that 'macular degeneration' and said it was caused by not having enough vitamin B.  I looked into it found that HepC causes a B vitamin deficency.
I havent had the problem since since I started taking the B Complex, and noticed a reasonable increase in energy level as well.

Energy levels come and go and it seems to be different for everyone. For me, the first four weeks of treatment were the worst and things slowly picked up from there. I'm just finishing up week 9 of 24 (I think it's week 9!) and I feel mostly okay.

Yep, different for everybody, first 4-6 weeks felt better than I had in years, all down hill from there though. I just finished 15 weeks with 9 more weeks to go an I feel weaker than a pup with worms. I think I'm having a worse time than most because I also have Lupus which could make me feel like that all on it's own. I was thinking if someone had offered me a trial drug with really bad side effects but good potential for cure, as sick as I was, I would have signed up in a heartbeat. BTW my HepC has been undetected since 8 weeks. Hang tough, dying from HepC or liver disease would be much worse than any side effects from Harvoni.

Mr. Bob

I felt good myself till the 3rd week. Then it seemed to hit me at once. I was at work and all of a sudden felt like just sitting down on the floor. I was surprised at how fast it seemed to come on. The 3 prior weeks I was feeling good and even bragging to my wife how good I felt. Maybe 3 weeks is the point at which it peaks in your system. Infact, it was 3 weeks to the day when it hit me.
