Geno 3, Sovaldi/Ribavirin post treatment
« on: June 28, 2015, 02:27:02 pm »
Hi all,
I am 10 1/2 weeks post treatment. I go on Tuesday for my first post treatment labs. I have to go before the 12 weeks because my present insurance ends on the 30th and the new insurance is a high deductible with no copays.  :(. Anyhow, needless to say, I am terrified to hear the results! Not just for the fact that the treatment may fail, but because there is no other option for geno 3's at this time. I am praying for SVR, and trying to stay positive, but there is still worry. I don't know what I will do. I also will lose my present doctor. With the new insurance, I can't imagine being approved for another expensive course of treatment even if there was one. I am asking for your prayers to help me through this. Congrats to all who beat this beast. I hope to join you! Take care and God bless.

Good luck Chris! Hang in there. In all likelihood, your news will be good. But if by any chance it isn't, there are new drugs coming out all the time and there are LOTS of clinical trials going on for Geno 3s right now because we are the ones who have been neglected. This is actually quite a good time to be Geno 3 because of all the trials for us right now. At least two of us Geno 3s on these forums are getting our Harvoni+Riba right now through a clinical trial.

Just saying, there will be other good options for you, should you need them. But in all likelihood you won't.

best of luck!
