What are the views on this? Is a Viekira Pak + Ribavirin for 24 weeks realistically recommended for retreatment for those who tried Harvoni and failed?

sickpuppy,
That is not a recommended regimen for Harvoni failures.

http://www.easl.eu/research/our-contributions/clinical-practice-guidelines/detail/recommendations-on-treatment-of-hepatitis-c-2015/report/4

I know of one person on the forum who failed Harvoni being retreated with this regimen.

The reason is the Ledipasvir component of Harvoni is in the same class of one if the meds in Viekira pack and while Sovaldi do not create resistance ledipasvir does create resistance to the same class of meds

Ledipasvir is an HCV NS5A inhibitor as is Ombitasvir
Genotype 1a

1995 Intron A failed
2001 Interferon Riba null response
2003 Pegintron Riba trial med null response
2008 F4 Cirrhosis Bx
2014 12 week Sov/Oly relapse
10/14 fibroscan 27 PLT 96
2014 24 weeks Harvoni 15 weeks Riba
5/4/15 EOT not detected, ALT 21, AST 20
