Suprised! Insurance company approved prescription 1st time!
« on: August 04, 2015, 11:57:12 am »
Diagnosed Hepc positive in Nov 2014.  HCV count 225,800 as of March 2015.   METAVIR F0-F1. GT2.  I'm a 54 year old male.  No idea of when or how I was infected.

Last week I received a phone call from a specialty pharmacy to inform me that my prescription for SOLV + Riba had been approved -- felt better than Christmas! Insurance covering 100%.

I had fully expected a rejection from the insurance company and then fight the appeal(s) battle.  I had even resigned to myself that I would likely have to pay for a significant portion of the $90K cost or live with the dragon for the foreseeable future.

Started 12 week treatment on Saturday; I'm on day 4 today.  No noticeable side effects.

Whooo whoooo!
