Developing asthma on Harvoni?
« on: September 05, 2015, 07:53:59 am »
Hello all,

I went for my 4 week PCR today, fingers crossed I'll be undetected! I should find out in a few days. 8 more weeks of Harvoni to go..

My doc sent me to see a pulmonologist because of my shortness of breath, which began on day 2 of Harvoni. Pulmonologist heard wheezing, so sent me for a chest x-ray which was normal, but the spirometry test showed some constriction of air pathways. He said it's early asthma, which I've never had before - nor have I ever had shortness of breath prior to treatment.

I've read online and on this forum about others who developed asthma and lung problems on Harvoni - I'm wondering for those that got asthma, did it get better and/or reverse after treatment finished? I was given an inhaler and told to return in 2 weeks for follow up. Hoping it doesn't develop further...  :(
