Hi at week 10 of 12 on treatment. Virus gone. Side effects not nice. Does anyone know how long it will take to start to feel better when the treatment has finished and what to do about low haemoglobin?

I did 24 weeks of VP + riba. My haemoglobin was so low they dose reduced. Once it stabilised around 100+ I was fine. It seemed to me that the actual period of the drops were the hard part, once you'd stabilised at a level, you managed.

My hb was fine after I stopped taking anything and is now 135. It came back into normal range about a month or so after I went off the daas. Our range is measured slightly differently to yours in the US, so normal for me is 115-165 g/L

And to answer your b question, it won't help, because this is a different type of anaemia. It's haemolytic. Your body is no doubt producing sufficient haemoglobin, but the drugs are destroying it after it's made. If it gets really bad the dr will give you something - I think people are given EPO, but I never got that bad.
