First Blood Test Result
« on: December 01, 2015, 07:33:13 am »
Just got this after my first round of blood work since starting Harvoni treatment October 23rd.

Dear xxxxxxxxx,

I hope this letter finds you well.

The hepatitis C level is almost zero so significant improvement, hopefully on the next lab test, it will be undetectable.

Congratulations, bricksnsticks! Your doctor's office has an interesting way of getting back to you. Of course, you have a right to ask for a copy of the actual lab results. Chances are, those will include liver enzymes such as ALT and AST which are also most likely significantly improved.

Gnatty
9/29/71 transfusions
HCV genotype 1a
7/09/15-9/30/15 Harvoni

Viral Load 9,490,582

ALP 183

Most recent:
VL still UNDETECTED (SVR 102)
FibroScan 7.6 kPa [F1-2]
ALT 15
AST 20
ALP 85

Congrats! I agree with Gnatty. I would get a copy of the tests. I would want to look at the actual numbers for viral load, ALT/AST, RBC, GFR, etc

Solvaldi/Ribavirin for 12 weeks
ALT/AST was 74/48; now 17/17
