Time to be Thankful
« on: November 23, 2016, 09:30:01 pm »
Today I became overwhelmed with sense of gratitude as I traced my journey to a cure that began exactly a year ago 11/24/2015.
At the time I had initial symptoms of a failing liver from 4 decades of having my Liver thumped on by hep c.
I was diag @F4 and had a few months of non-stop nose bleeds and abdominal pain. Cirrhosis symptoms.
As a business owner with a young family of 4, I was not even close to accepting my demise could be close.
I checked in with this form regularly during my 24 weeks of Harvoni.
Ultimately, my 24 weeks EOT is undetected.

So even if they find out that DAA's cause you to grow a tail in 5 years, or my heart might suddenly explode as a side FX, this was a fight worth fighting and I consider all of us that got cured lucky. Of course when I imagine where I might be if I had not been treated, gratitude comes easy.

I am thankful for all of you that braved this journey then offered wisdom and eased the concerns of those who were freaking out. Through fighting and defeating hep c we are united.

Happy Thanksgiving Yall! We all have ALOT to be thankful for!

Yours truly,

Greg
