Alpha 2-Macroglobulins: Elevation?
« on: November 23, 2016, 03:41:39 pm »
Hi:

I finally got my Fibro Sure results uploaded to my patient portal.

It gives the Fibrosis(F3) and Necroinflammatory (A3) levels. Also the biomarkers this scoring is based upon. As expected my ALT was high. Oddly 120 on this test and 108 on another test taken that same day. Odd...

Another high result was the Alpha 2-Macroglobulins reading of 399. lab norms are: 110-276 mg/dl.

Can anyone tell me about this kind of elevation of Alpha 2-Macroglobulin reading? Does it indicate liver inflammation or liver damage? Or both?
