Just wanting to say Hi - two weeks in to Viek/Exviera/Rib
« on: April 06, 2017, 04:06:02 pm »
Hi all just wanted to introduce myself as I've lurking the past fortnight here. I just started treatment two weeks ago, into my next fortnight of the above, am geno 1A, the first week and half was horrendous with fatigue, I tend to be "always tired" with my hep c, and I can cope with that or the periods of stronger fatigue but this has been horrendous, sleeping for 11 hours and waking up feeling like I've drunk a bottle of vodka (no alcohol obviously :D) but into third week now and starting to feel a little more normal tbh, I would have always done classes in the gym but couldn't do it, managed two this week, which I am happy with as they actually help my anxiety, lift my mood, and seem to be giving me energy in a weird kinda way, the itching was horrendous also, I got some aqueous (sp?) Cream with menthol and this has been quite helpful and I am drinking lots of water etc, got my bloods done so they said they would adjust the ribo, I also had a some headaches and cold chills, but the do seem to clearing a little more now. To be honest I feel like I have been giving a gift of life and this is going to so worth it, they recently dropped the viral load level in order to give the medication to someone like me who have a level of either 6 or 0.6 I don't fully understand that part, Doctor said it was on a level of 1 - 10 and I am two, I was diagnosed back in 2004, anyone sorry for the long post :D

Hi Irish girl and welcome

You are probably getting a little anemic from the riba that would make you feel extra tired and even explain the chills. Also can make exercise more difficult.

Just listen to your body if you are tired rest as needed and soon you will be finished up and on your way to better health

Good luck

some people are affected by riba more than others - if it gets too bad, let your dr know as they can sometimes adjust the dosage. They did for me and I still cleared.

It's worth it in the long run. Good luck!
