Finished Mavyret 6 months ago and still having headaches
« on: March 07, 2019, 01:06:58 am »
The good news is that the Hep C virus was undetectable after 4 weeks. I finished the full 8 weeks, gained nearly 35 pounds and had headaches daily, but thought nothing of it as I assumed they would be gone a few weeks or months after treatment. I'm 6 months out now and still having headaches. This last one I've been having for the last 2 days, pretty much non-stop. I've never had a problem with headaches in my life. I'm clean and sober, not depressed, everything else is great. My doctor and pharmacist say that it's unlikely a result of the Mavyret treatment but I beg to differ. I'm desperately waiting to get a consult for a neurologist so I can get an MRI to see what's going on. I will be 63 next month and have been HIV+ since 1985, with an AIDS diagnosis in the late 1990s. My T-Cells are just under 400 and my HIV is undetectable. These headaches are bringing me down. Is anyone else experiencing this? :(
