Man Charged With Hep C Exposure Felony Charge
« on: January 11, 2013, 09:10:21 am »
I just saw this headline on Hep. What kind of nonsense is this?

Man Facing Hep C Exposure Felony Charge
http://www.hepmag.com/articles/hepatitis_c_exposure_crime_2501_12720.shtml

How the hell is someone going to get Hep C from cleaning up poop? Hep C is a blood-to-blood transmission. So there would have to be blood in the poop. And then the person cleaning it up would have to be using bare hands with an open wound. That combination seems like something even Vegas bookmakers wouldn't touch.

Come on people. All this does is add to the stigma around having hep C. Craziness.

sounds like the jailers were just pissed off at the guy for leaving his crap all over his cell and this was the best charge they could dream up. He's going away for a long time from the sound of the other charges but your right this is a bad sign for people living wiht hepc if they can be charged for exposing others in a way that has zero risk
