Started Pegasys and Ribasphere 2 weeks ago...
« on: October 24, 2013, 12:06:36 am »
I've experienced every emotion on the medications.  The doctor adjusted the pills ribasphere from 4 a day to 3 a day and I feel much better.  The dryness is a little relieved and also the side effects of feeling anxious and foggy subsided. I can focus now on my studies.

Oh my heart goes out to you - the emotions are rough. Glad dose reduction helped. Sometimes patients need medications to help with anxiety, depression, rage, etc.
Hang in there.

You are in good company here, and I know it doesn't make it easier, but I did 72 weeks of the dual therapy, and you will get through this.  I am cured, and you can be too!  Let us know how many log drop you see at your 4 week bloodwork.  Pulling for you! -jack

Hi everyone, Just want to let everyone know, I finished the triple treatment which lasted for 6 months,. at 4 weeks labs were non detected, all labs since during treatment non detected, 6 months after completing treatments non detected and cured, that was july of this year,. I'm so happy I did this treatment!  First treatment of just the double treatment was not successful.  Thank God this was a winner.  For all of you just getting started, i'ts going to be rough, but you can be treated for all the horrible symptons, just remember to let you doctor know. And I got all the symptoms too.  But so worth it,  Does anyone know if i ever need to get labs checked again once cured, my doctor said it wont come back unless i got reinfected.

Oh this is so wonderful!!!! I love hearing these success stories, but even more when people hold out hope for those who have not yet crossed the finish line. Enjoy your precious victory.

Charlotte, way to slay the dragon!  Were you on Incivek or Victrelis?  Sounds like Incivek, as in that treatment the 4 week labs are critical to measuring progress.  I also did Incivek triple therapy and was proclaimed cured this past May.  This week is the one year anniversary of my last week of treatment. With the new treatments next year Hep C has met its match!  -jack
