No virus detected on my 4 week lab.
« on: November 22, 2013, 09:34:46 am »
I got the results on the 4 week lab.  I was told no virus is detected.  Dr. says he'll do another on the 12 week.. I don't know what to think...?

This is wonderful news indeed! Undetectable virus at week 4 predicts a good chance of a sustained response. It can be hard to be optimistic at this point, especially since you are in the throes of medication side effects, but if there is ever a reason to feel hopeful, this is it!

Yes Indeed... I feel so much better.. knowing the side effects and sustaining a positive attitude... I know at the end of my yellow brick road is another opportunity... hopefully I will be disease free.  I don't mind the side effects.. I have to rest, drink plenty of water and eat healthy, exercise daily and oils on my scalp and moisturizers on my skin on a daily basis. Im very happy at this point.

Love your attitude! Stay in touch. We can get worn down by side effects, especially in the winter. I sure wish everyone could go to Tahiti in the winter to pass the time during treatment!

Yes, vacation therapy... nice!   I do have my good days and worn out days, at this point I have injection on Friday, Saturdays I'm ok.... Active.. but on Sundays is when I have to stay in bed and watch TV all day.  On Mondays, I'm pushing to get the day done and on Tues kind of slow but able to function. Weds, Thurs, Fridays I'm good.  Then the cycle starts again.  The key is plenty of water and healthy foods helped me with the side effects and plenty of rest. Thanks again..

Wonderful news Johnny. Your liver is now getting a break from hep C's relentless assault. I know it is hard on you, but your liver is probably loving it! Keep in touch.
