Currently on week 22

Hello Everyone.  I have 2 injections to go to finish the 24 week therapy.  I am nervous. Are there any side effects from not taking the medication of Peginterferon and ribasphere once the treatment ends.

Hi Roxy,

Check out Devon's blog at 10 weeks post treatment. He describes how the side effects wound down after stopping treatment...

Mostly things gradually get better with ups and downs. However, it is common for people to get colds or minor infections in the first month or two from the drop in interferon - Despite all the side effects, interferon was boosting your immune system and without it, you back to being susceptible to whatever is going around. Be sure your immunizations are up to date, and wash your hands a lot. Also, stay away from sick people.

Thank you.  I will follow up after my 24 week lab and will update on my recovery.  Thank you for your concerns.
