I'm in the Undetectable Club!!
« on: July 15, 2014, 04:06:48 pm »
In my 6th week of Sovaldi, Olysio. Just got my 4th week blood result, Undetectable!  Amazing, I am one of the treated in 1999 with Interferon every 3rd day and Ribaviron I had  moderate Liver damage at the time. I did not respond.  Now All liver functions are in the normal range. I really thought it was just a matter of time for the old liver. These truly are special times in our fight against this Nasty Virus. Needless to say I'm feeling pretty good... :)

Thanks,  I went through the Insurance hassle. So waited through both appeals, only to be denied. Because of the off label and being so new was not the standard treatment for my case. Then I have to give thanks to Gilead and Johnson & Johnson for stepping up and covering all costs.
I truly feel for the folks that have to go it alone. I am very fortunate to have a very experienced medical team. They have done everything as far as paperwork etc. All I had to do was sign paper when needed.  They are the same group that I had from the failed attempt in 99. So they know what they're doing.
I'm looking forward to hearing about a lot more of us joining this club. These are definitely the drugs we have been waiting for. Now it is just a matter of time till treatments are perfected a D they become standard for all. Hoping nothing but the best for all in this fight. It is coming, a total Cure for this Nasty Virus.  And we are all in the forefront helping in the fight. Hang tough folks...

Excellent!  Me too, since May.  I finished my last 2 pills yesterday:  Olysio and Sovaldi combo.  I'm hoping it stays that way!

It is a great club, although everyone with hep C has honorary membership - it is just a matter of time before we cure everyone!

If I was queen of the world, I would have a ceremony. Everyone with hep C gets a medal of bravery. Everyone who attempts treatment, cured or not, is a dragon-fighter. Cured, you are a dragon-slayer.

However, those who are awarded the highest medal of honor are those who live with us, care for us, and support us.
