Sovaldi/Riba 4 week bloodwork Undetectable/Negative and <15
« on: August 28, 2014, 11:23:24 am »
Hi, just got my amazing blood results from week 4 of treatment on Sovaldi/Riba:

HCV RNA Detection By TMA:  Negative
HCV RNA Quantification By PCR:  Undetected and <15

Excellent short term results.  Still 7 weeks more of treatment.  Hopefully the long term effect is as awesome as the short term.

P.S.  I'm Genotype 2, on tx for a total of 12 weeks.

I'm on the same treatment except for 24 weeks as I am Gen 1B.
I got the same result as you at week 3-4. I just completed week 8 and I wish I had
7 weeks to go. You should be OK as Gen 2 has great response. Keep it up.

Rainbowray, from all accounts I am lucky.  Not sure how someone gets to be one genotype or another.  Likely genetics did it.

Nevertheless, it feels like my body is the Gaza Strip and Sovaldi/RIBA are bombing the heck out of the virus.  Hope there is some real estate left when this is over!

I'm sorry to hear you have 24 weeks.  While the side effects could be worse, they still exist.  Wish I could sleep!
