Any information about 2 undetected on weeks 2 and 4 and then <15 on week 8. My liver enzymes are still normal. Any info would be appreciated. Getting worried!

This happened to me. I don't know how often this happens, but it happens a lot. I can tell you not to worry, but you will. It nearly always ends in an SVR.

Thank you Lucinda! I always feel better when I know that I am not the only one. I guess that is why we take it for 12 weeks. Being a lab person I guess it may have to do with the low viral load and sensitivity of the assay. It would be interesting to hear from others that this may have happened to! Thanks again for your reassuring response! Larry

Well gosh Larry - you were more easily reassured than I was! I stewed over that until my SVR24 results. One thing to keep in mind, albeit less reassuring, there are other good drugs in the pipeline, and unlike the old days of peginterferon and ribavirin, you aren't even close to running out of options.

Yes Lucinda, I am still worried but less so. I have been let down too many times to give up now. As always, never rely on one lab result! I will let you know the repeat follow up test. I am confident that it will go back to undetected! Thanks again Larry

Saw my nurse practitioner today. She told me not to freak out yet! She said to repeat the test and depending on those results she may ask to extend my S/O meds for 1 more month.

Hi Lucinda and everyone, congratulations Picnic, I know how wonderful it is to get the Undetected lab results, I got my Undetected lab results today.  The virus is now undetected in my blood too, after 6 weeks of S/O treatment.  Thank you Lord!

Hello WFTW-1,
Congratulations on the  "UNDETECT"!! It's a GREAT feeling isn't it?<not really a question! I started S/O treatment Aug 19, 1 day after you. I'm treatment naïve. Recvd wk.8 lab results yesterday. No VL test. Alt-21 Ast-16...holding steady! Undetect at wk. 4. Next lab is the BIG one - and then the BIGGER one after that!
Stay healthy...FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT!

H all,
I received my week 10  VL . It is undetected . This makes two undetected after that aberrant <15 result. Starting week 11 tomorrow. Wishing an undetected for all of you.

I'll bet the lab screwed up on the <15 you received. My hospital is huge and see lots of people, but they only run the HCV viral load tests twice a week for some reason. I am happy you are UD with just a few weeks to go. I am still waiting on December for my SVR12 labs. I did have my PCP run a liver panel & INR   this week and everything is normal so I feel good about December.
