My Week Nine Results!
« on: December 12, 2014, 10:46:34 am »
Hi All,

I don't have them in hand and haven't seen them in writing but

I am Undetected, completely and totally undetected!

My AST is 20 and my ALT is 19, don't have the Bili number yet but I will update when I have the results in writing.

I am beyond words right now and praying that is stays like this but at least my liver is getting a rest while I continue treatment on Harvoni.

Honestly for the first time I really feel hopeful that I may beat this beast!

Picnic - It's really true, I feel like there is a light starting to shine on me

Bucky - I am so happy and it's nice to know I will start 2015 with the virus at bay.

Sunrise- I know I am on it for at least 12 weeks because I have 5 refills but the insurance only approved the medication through 3/5/15 which is a bit confusing to me but I am already emailing about that to get clarification. One good thing is that I already completed 8 full weeks of S/O

Mike - thanks for the Rocky theme, it made me smile :)

This is so wonderful Mel!
It's such a good feeling to be undetected and gives us so much hope. I have no doubt whatsoever you will beat this.

Sunrise, I'm right there with you. -- 5 more S's and O's to go and I'm done with my 12 weeks.

Awesome News Mel! Congrats!
That is so cool! Doing the Happy dance for you!

I had my blood work drawn today and should know in about 5 days as to where I stand after almost 5 weeks.  They don't do the viral load on site, it has to be sent out, hence the 5 days turnaround. I hate waiting ! !!! Nerve Racking, especially failing two Interferon Rib rounds a bunch of years ago.

Mikeyman,

Thanks so much! It's going to be positive news for you as well. Honestly I don't think I have seen anyone not respond to the Harvoni or the S/O, it's not sticking for a few but we are all responding and at least letting our livers have a rest,

It's so hard to wait for the results isn't it? I was shocked my doctor got them back so quickly but happy as well. I am waiting for LabCorp to post them online so I can see it in writing myself!

Just hoping I am part of the 90 + percent that gets cured but if I am not, then on to the next treatment. I will beat this beast!

Now look what i started LOL. Badbradley is living up to his name trying to start trouble LOL. Love it! Having these new drugs have everyone so optimistic, I just hope they become more attainable for everyone.

Keep up the fight, going to beat this awful thing, I can't wait to be Hep C free!

Thanks All,

We can and we will beat this beast! I'm just happy to know my sick liver is really getting to rest right now. I've got a ton more time to be on Harvoni and I'm just going to smile every time I take the pretty orange pill and thank my lucky stars I am getting treatment.

Every day as I read about more people struggling to get treatment it makes me more determined to figure out a way to help when I am SVR and get some energy back!
People talk about giving back all the time and I've done little things in my life but nothing would mean more to me than helping someone get treatment.
